Welcome Back Revver!

September 30, 2006

Early on we provided support for Revver and allowed you to partake in the ad revenue sharing program they had. Unfortunately, we had to take it down shortly after because they were still using quicktime and not a flash player. Well good news, they now have flash! So we’re happy to say you can again upload your videos from Revver to TVA. Take a look at our original Revver announcement which discusses the ad revenue sharing a little more clearly.

As usual if you have any issues with posting of videos or have any other suggestions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks!

TVA Team

update:  even though Revver has an interesting model we’ve learned that it provides an annoying pop-up to our IE users.  So for the time being we will have to disable this, until Revver can provide a flash player.

So this is really cool news. Why? Because Revver has an interesting model. Basically at the end of their videos there are ads displayed. If and when the ads are clicked the owner of the video is paid. What’s also cool is if you are not the owner and post the video then you will also get paid.

So how thevideoawards.com can help you is it gives you great forum to post those videos up. We have the traffic, which means you just need to put videos up which people like. So here’s how you can get started, head over to Revver and browse through the list of videos they have listed. You’ll need to setup an account so you can get an affiliate id. Once you get your id and find that video, head over to thevideoawards.com and submit that video. Once it’s all done your video will be posted and you potientially could start getting paid. It’s definitely an interesting model. There’s currently much discussion around ad placement in these videos… it’ll be interesting to see where it all lands.
