A New Look
September 9, 2007
We’ve got a bit of a new look for The Video Awards. We’ve streamlined the home page to allow for a quicker download time and a better view of what’s going on. It’s purely a change to the homepage but we would love to hear if you like it better then the pure video layout.
Looking Forward

If you know .net we could definitely use you or if you love designing drop us a line. We’re looking for passionate individuals who would like to partake in developing this community.

Welcome Back Revver!
September 30, 2006
Early on we provided support for Revver and allowed you to partake in the ad revenue sharing program they had. Unfortunately, we had to take it down shortly after because they were still using quicktime and not a flash player. Well good news, they now have flash! So we’re happy to say you can again upload your videos from Revver to TVA. Take a look at our original Revver announcement which discusses the ad revenue sharing a little more clearly.
As usual if you have any issues with posting of videos or have any other suggestions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thanks!
TVA Team
Yahoo! Has Acquired Jumpcut
September 27, 2006
Wow, this is some interesting news. Jumpcut being only 6 months old has been swallowed by Yahoo!. The news is still new so there isn’t any other details on it. You can see the post on the Yahoo blog and the Jumpcut blog hasn’t made any mention of it yet has a post about it here. I guess we’ll wait to see.
Produce Your Own Semi-Professional Video
September 8, 2006
Ryan Carter from Download Squad has written a great article on how you can produce your own video to get your 15 minutes of fame.
…but now I can share my experience with you and the best easy and free ways I found to produce such a video in a day and a half on no budget that looks decent and make customers drool. You don’t need excellent computer skills either, but a little will to learn and a few hours time depending how involved you want this video to be. Take one, marker, action!
